I thought I would talk about some of the latest Fall sneaker trends because I’m in the market for a new pair of trainers for the Autumn. I’m going to a huge gig at Wembley stadium in September (Oasis) so I need something that looks stylish to wear for the occasion that will also be super comfortable.
I’m currently researching some the best options to wear and thought it was worth talking about what is currently trending this year.
Here’s my current short list of options and why I think they should be on your wish list this year as well.

Ballet Flat Sneakers For Fall
This trend hasn’t fully hit yet but the signs that this style of sneakers are going to be big is everywhere.
I absolutely love ballet flats but recognise that they don’t always have a comfortable enough insole to wear for longer periods of time. Ballet flat sneakers however are rising star hybrids that combine that dainty silhouette of ballet flats with cushioned sneaker soles.
My feet need really comfortable and supportive footwear so this new trend is like a dream for me so these are probably number one on my wishlist.
My number one favorite at the moment is the Puma Speedcat Ballet Flats in Black and they are already in my shopping basket.
Puma Speedcat Ballet Flats
However this isn’t the only style in town both of these also work really well.
Adidas Samba Jane Womens Sneaker
Skechers Women’s Seager Power Hitter Engineered Knit Mary Jane
Why you’ll love them:
- Lightweight and flexible
- Rubber soles with memory foam
- Feminine styling that works great with casual outfits.
Style tip: Pair with denim midi skirts, wool trousers or jeans for a refined autumn look.
Chunky Sole Sneakers
For something a little more elevated & edgy chunky sole sneakers are also really big right now and still going strong after last year.
This actually covers a wide base as most sneaker brands have brought out versions of their footwear in a chunkier or a platform sole to meet demand.
I actually love this look as I’m not actually on the tall side so any extra height I can get is great plus these often have even thicker cushioning than standard sized sneakers.
To give you an idea of what I have on order I’m just waiting for these to turn up in the mail. Sorel do great autumn sneakers and boots and the wavy sole grabbed my attention because it is so different.
SOREL Women’s Kinetic Impact ll Wonder Lace Sneaker
Steve Madden Women’s Possession Platform Sneaker
Adidas Women’s VL Court 3.0 Sneaker
However for thoese of you still into the retro trend what about these platform sneakers by
Alternatively you can try these chunky sporty style sneakers that have that Balenciaga look without the price tag.
Why they’re here to stay:
- Adds boldness and height
- Great arch support and cushioning
- Modern twist on normal sneakers which feels very current
Retro Sneakers For Autumn
I mentioned the retro trend and I have to say this nostalgia led style isn’t going anywhere this autumn. Vintage-inspired runners from the ’70s and ’80s are still making waves although we have moved on a little from the Adidas Samba’s of last year. If my 13 year old niece is wearing them in Australia then the fash pack has definitely gone elsewhere although she looks super cute in them.
Think suede overlays, slim midsoles, and classic color-blocking to get the look this year. They are actually very apt for an Oasis concert as Liam Gallagher has collaborated with Adidas on their Spezial line and Noel wears similar.
The lastest styles that really are in this year are Adidas Taekwondo Sneakers which have a much lower profile that normal sneakers.
Adidas Originals Women’s Taekwondo Lace Sneakers
PUMA Womens Speedcat Og Lace Up Sneakers Shoes Casual
Why they’re trending:
- Simple, sleek, and street-style approved
- Lightweight feel without compromising on style
- Ideal layering footwear for fall outfits
Style tip: Wear with wide-leg jeans, cropped jackets, and chunky knits for an effortlessly cool look.
Tonal Neutrals & Earth Colors
For an understated Fall look then you can’t go far wrong with tonal neutral and earth colors to match the season. Neutrals like cream, clay, olive, and taupe are perfect to go with your fall wardrobes.
Earthy looks go great with chunky jumpers, thick jackets and wide leg trousers and jeans. The colors don’t scream look at me and instead give you an chic look that blends with your outfit.
I’m loving Veja sneakers at the moment.
Veja Women Campo Sneakers
Plus these New Balance alternatives also work well.
New Balance Women’s 574 Core Sneaker
Why They Work:
- They blend seamlessly into capsule wardrobes
- Looks polished and elevated, even with joggers
- Easy to mix and match
Style tip: Wear with matching knitwear, high-waisted trousers, or earth-toned outer layers.
Fall 2025 Highlight The Prada Collapse Sneakers & Best Budget Dupes
Finally this look is so hot that it has barely made it off the catwalk yet but believe me when I say this style will be copied everywhere over the coming months.
Prada’s Collapse sneaker is ultra-flat, slipper-like, and entirely constructed from Re‑Nylon and suede. It has an elasticized heel, rubber thigh‑thin sole, and vintage-finish leather and a hefty price tag. Its heel literally “collapses” when you slip it on, reducing structure for a second-skin feel.
Vogue and Marie Claire highlighted this look as one of the major minimalist statements of 2025 and says that the sneaker is “so flat it’s already collapsed”.
While the real Prada Collapse is luxury-level expensive, there are some stylish alternatives inspired by its sleek silhouette:
VIVIAIA Cristina Square Toe Smooth Satin Fabric Lace-Up Satin Sneakerina
Sneakerina Ballet Sneakers for Women

Why This Look Is Going To Be Huge
- Streamlined silhouette
- Elasticized sides or back
- Ultra-thin sole or minimal padding
- Minimalist styling for a lounge to street style
