Using a Jelly Pedi to Pamper Your Feet

May 4, 2021

There is nothing we love better than introducing our readers to new forms of pampering foot treatments especially pedicures. The Jelly Pedi is definitely something new and works amazingly well not only as a quirky pedicure but also as a great foot treatment that can help you to care for your feet.

In fact, the Jelly Pedi has taken off to such an extent that now you can not only get it in spas but also you can buy Jelly Pedicure kits to use at home. So what exactly is a Jelly pedicure and how exactly does it work to help your feet?

What Is a Jelly Pedicure?

What is a Jelly Pedicure?A jelly pedicure is a quirky form of spa pedicure experience where your feet are immersed into a foot bath of warm water. When your feet are soaking an additive is placed in the water to turn the water into a jelly consistency that can moisturize and soothe your feet. After your feet have been immersed in the jelly bath for a reasonable time your pedicurist adds a further product to the mixture which turns it back into the water again. Then the remainder of the pedicure follows the traditional format including foot exfoliation, nail trimming, and shaping plus painting of the toenails.

What Are the Benefits of a Jelly Pedicure

A Jelly Pedi has a number of benefits over a traditional spa pedicure. Firstly the jelly product is able to retain heat far better than normal water. This means that your feet can be soothed in the jelly spa for longer and this can help with tension and foot pain.In addition, the jelly pedicure products have added essential oils and exfoliating treatments within them helping to remove dead skin and make them softer. Plus you get the benefit of aromatherapy from the essential oils that can help to relax you.

How Do You Do a Jelly Pedicure?

There are some simple steps you can take if you want to do a Jelly Pedi at home. Firstly fill your footbath with warm water and make sure the temperature is not too hot or cold. If you have a footbath with a whirlpool or jets make sure they are turned off.Purchase a jelly pedicure packet kit and note that the packet is divided into two parts. Add the first part to the water and mix and you will see the water turns to jelly. Immerse your feet in the jelly mix for fifteen to twenty minutes. When the time is up add the second packet to the mix and stir well. You will now find that the jelly mix turns back to colored water. Remove your feet from the footbath and dry. Now you can commence with the remainder of your pedicure such as nail trimming, callus removal, and nail painting.

Jelly Pedicure Lavender

If you want to try a jelly spa foot soak for yourself then the market leader for jelly pedicures is the brand Gel Ohh. They have a brilliant two-step system that you can add to warm water and one of their most popular types is their lavender sachet.

We should also point out that the reviews for the Gel Ohh product are excellent especially considering you can pick it up for only a few dollars.

Just one tip for those of you trying it at home. Make sure you don’t use lots of water in the footbath and slowly add the additive for the water. Many reviewers found that they were able to get the right consistency of jelly spa foot bath without using all the product which means you could save some for another time.
