Birkenstock sandals are a popular summer wardrobe choice but they aren’t for everyone which is why I want to talk about shoes like Birkenstocks.

Birkenstock sandals have a high price point and that molded footbed can be difficult to break in which is why other shoe manufacturers have started to create cheaper alternatives and some of these are actually more comfortable than the originals.

There are plenty of Birkenstock alternatives out there and these are some of the best that I have found which give you the look without spending a fortune this summer.

Cheaper Alternatives to Birkenstock Sandals

If you are looking for Birkenstock style sandals that are cheaper you don’t have to look very far to see that plenty of shoe manufacturers are making dupes at around 50% off the normal retail price of the originals.

Now of course the quality may not match the original Birkenstock styles in some of my top picks but in many it does because with any brand you are always paying for the name as well as the footwear.

Here are some of the best alternatives I have found if you are looking for cheaper summer sandals.

CUSHIONAIRE Women’s Lane Cork Footbed Sandal With +Comfort

Cushionaire are a brand that is known for creating comfortable sandals and shoes which is great if you want to look after your foot health.

The original Birkenstocks are considered to be highly comfortable once they are broken in but that takes time. With these Cushionaire sandals many reviewers have felt that they have been comfy from the start.

These have genuine suede insoles but the uppers are not which is why you are paying less for these sandals. However customers have felt that they are still durable which makes them great value for money.

These look almost identical to the arizona sandals made by Birkenstock and have a similar cork footbed and EVA outsole which makes them last longer. As these have stop straps with buckles you can adjust them to fit your foot. Just take note of the sizing as some people have felt that the fit wasn’t perfect for their sizing.

Shoes Like Birkenstock Boston – ODOLY Women’s Suede Clogs With Cork Footbed and Arch Support

If you like the look of Birkenstock Boston clogs then these Odoly sandals are a great alternative.

These classic clogs are actually have an upper and insole that is made of genuine suede so you aren’t compromising on materials of you buy them. Plus they have a solid metal buckle and thicker soles as well which helps with durability.

Just like the best Birkenstock styles they have that deep heel cork footbed and also arch support which is really important for extra comfort.

These are also machine washable as well which is brilliant if you want to maintain your sandals and keep them looking good.

At this price point you are getting a great Birkenstock alternative that is perfect for the warmer weather.

Chaco Women’s Chillos Slide Sandal

I chose these Chaco slide sandals because whilst they are similar to Birkenstocks they are suitably different as well because of the fabric webbing.

These aren’t made of cork instead the sandal has an EVA midsole and jacquard webbing with a lock buckle to help adjust them to fit your feet.

The great thing about EVA is that is is lightweight and has great cushioning so they are comfy. They are also easier to wear when it is wet than the original Birkenstocks.

Just note that these are not necessarily as durable as some of the best Birkenstock styles but at the cheaper price point they are a great fashion sandal for a season.

These come in lots of different colors so they are great if you want to wear sandals that match your style or outfits.

WHITE MOUNTAIN Women’s Shoes Bueno Mule

These suede nubuck Birkenstock alternatives are a little bit different to the brands original designs. The oversized buckles elevate the traditional designs and gives a very different looking sandals to what you are normally used to with Birkenstock.

However they still have the cork sole bottom so there are still enough similarities to make them dupes. Plus they are comfortable because of the arch support which is important if you worried about keeping your foot correctly aligned.

Note that these come in a number of different colors so you can choose a pair to suit your style.

FITORY Women’s Slide Sandals with Soft Cork Footbed

These Fitory sandals are very similar to the Myori Birkenstocks with their double strap which loops around the big toe area.

Whilst you get the cork footbed and the suede lining with these shoes the upper material is PU rather than leather. The outsole is made from EVA

Because these have buckles they can be adjusted to get the perfect fit.

These are great Birkenstock dupes if you are looking for cheaper version of the less common Myori style sandals.

Weweya Sandals for Women

Birkenstock have branched out over recent years to create sandals out of materials like EVA. Not only are they fashionable they are also practical as well especially if you want footwear to wear at the beach.

Where Birkenstock lead other manufacturers of dupes follow and these Weweya sandals are a great example of of waterproof slip on sandals that are comfy and great to wear all summer long.

These come in a range of different colors and have an double-buckle adjustable strap that you can adjust to fit.

The soles have a reasonably good grip which is important if you are wearing them around a pool and they are washable as well for easy maintenance.

Just we aware that if you expose these to heat or sun for a long time they will loose their shape.

Birkenstock Dupe – ONCAI Womens Flat Slide Sandals with Arch Support

Oncai make a some great Birkenstock dupes and this style is made from leather which can be unusual for cheaper copies.

The only thing I am not so keen on is the branding on the buckle which immediately gives the game away that they aren’t the real deal.

These have the adjustable double metal buckles and the cork midsole with rubber outsole.

This brand makes a point of emphasising the arch support that these sandals have which is really important if you want supportive shoes.

There are a number of different colors to choose from as well giving you more options when you are looking to match your outfits.

SAGUARO Men’s Women’s Comfort Slides Adjustable EVA Sandals

These Saguaro dupes actually match the look for the EVA Birkenstocks better than the previous versions I showed you but again the illusion is ruined by their logo along the side of the shoes.

These have two adjustable straps and an EVA sole and upper.

The contoured and cushioned footbed still has arch support and a heel cup to help protect your feet. Plus they are lightweight and easy to dry if you have been wearing them to the beach or the pool.

I much prefer these to traditional flip-flops because although they are more expensive they are more comfortable on your feet because of the thicker sole.

The EVA styles also tend to come in a bigger range of colors than the normal Birkenstocks which gives you more choice for summer fashion.

FITORY Womens Open Toe Slipper with Cozy Lining

Birkenstock Arizona styles do now come in shearling which has been a real trend over the last few years. The only problem is that shearling Birkenstocks are even more expensive than ordinary leather styles.

This is why these Fitory faux versions are well worth a look because they are nowhere near as expensive as the real deal.

These two strap sandals have adjustable metal buckles allowing you to alter them for different foot shapes.

The furry footbed gives more comfort than just the cork alone plus they are cosy as well.

Whilst you can wear them outside I always think of these as the perfect alternatives to slippers indoors.

Women’s Cork Footbed Sandals With Adjustable Strap Buckle

If you are looking for a pair of Madrid Birkenstock style sandals then my next dupes fit the bill.

These have a PU upper and suede insole as well as the traditional cork footbed.

Just like the Madrid sandals they have a minimalist design with one buckle which is adjustable.

These are easy to wear slip on sandals that are great for summer but the single buckle does mean they are going to be less supportive than some of the other styles.

I am probably pushing the boundaries here with the next of my Birkenstock alternatives as they have the feel of the brand but they are also different at the same time.

I like these flat sandals because of the back strap which means that they are easier to wear without them falling off your feet. Plus they have a comfortable footbed which I need when I am walking around.

The jagged sole is designed to help with traction which is great if you want non-slip shoes.

Unlike Birkenstocks which have a buckle strap these have a velcro one that you can use to adjust the fit.

As well as being able to buy Arizona dupes you can also get Birkenstock Gizeh sandal lookalikes in the EVA style. This is good news if you prefer the toe post as opposed to just straps across the foot. These are waterproof and lightweight plus they still have an adjustable strap so you get the best of both worlds.

They also have some great colors in these as well if you are after something bright for the summer season.

Shoes Like Birkenstock But Cuter

Most Birkenstocks are what I would call functional and slightly utilitarian in their design but what if you want something a little more out there?

These glitter dupes that come in a range of different colors including gold and multi color are perfect if you want a different look.

They might not be as practical as some of the leather original designs but the glitter makes them a real talking point. You might not wear these at the beach but they are perfect for wearing for a lunch date or dinner in the evening when you are on holiday. They also still have adjustable straps so you don’t lose that functionality with the fashion footwear.
