10 Chic and Comfy Wedge Sandals That Won’t Compromise Your Style

Wedges can be the perfect summer sandals provided you find ones that suit your feet. So I thought I would hunt out some of the most comfy wedge sandals that you can buy this year.

Finding comfortable wedge sandals can sometimes be a challenge but these shoes represent some of the best that are available at the moment.

I wanted to find 10 shoes where style meets comfort so you can get that height boost without any pain or discomfort as foot health is so important. Here are my top wedge heels that are great for the warmer weather.

Vionic Women’s Calera Ankle Straps Heeled Sandal

If you have regularly read my blog you will know that I am a big Vionic footwear fan. I own plenty of their ordinary shoes and ballet flats but the brand also does some great wedge sandals.

This Calera style has that great jute detailing that you often find with wedge heels and secure strapping to keep your feet in place as you walk. These are a mid heel wedge at 2.5 inches so they aren’t super high which is great if you find heels a bit of a challenge.

What you are really paying for however with Vionic shoes is the technology that the sandals use. These have arch support, shock-absorbing cushioning and a deep heel cup. This means your feet will stay stable as you walk and they should be really comfortable.

As an added bonus these come in a number of other colors such as black, gold, pink and tan.

Dr. Scholl’s Shoes Women’s Sheena Wedge Sandal

Dr. Scholls is another footwear brand that is renowned for caring about your foot health and they have moved a long way since their clogs were hugely popular in the 70’s.

These wedge sandals are build for comfort and have special insole technology and extra cushioning to make sure your feet feel great whilst you walk in them.

Again these are a mid height heel so they shouldn’t be too challenging plus they are light and have extra flexibility to make them easy to wear.

I particularly love the criss cross design at the front which keeps your feet secure in these sandals as well. These are the perfect comfy wedge sandals for every day use.

Aetrex Women’s Grace Orthopedic Adjustable Woven Wedge Sandals

Orthopedic sandals don’t have to look ugly as these wedges show. These are dressy enough to wear without anyone noticing they have been specially created to help your foot health.

This is another brand that has created comfy wedge sandals to help with foot conditions such as Plantar Fasciitis, flat feet and general foot pain.

Firstly the sandals have a memory foam footbed which is obviously going to be great for comfort. Then they also have arch support which helps with stability and foot alignment. This means they are much easier to wear that ordinary wedges.

I should also mentioned the hook and loop straps which allow you to adjust the fit and the padded ankle collar so that you don’t get blisters. It looks like the brand has thought of almost everything.

Skechers Women’s Beverlee-Easy to Adore Wedge Sandal

Everyone is aware of Sketchers sneakers but people forget they do sell other types of footwear such as these comfy wedge sneakers.

As you would expect from Sketchers the footbed is really comfortable and made from foam giving you plenty of cushioning. Whilst the outsole has plenty of traction to keep you stable whilst you walk.

The scallop design on the upper is something a little bit different and gives these wedge heels a different look to many of the other brands on the market.

I should also mention the adjustable buckle but take note that it is a velcro attachment rather than a real buckle in case that bothers you when you are securing your sandals.

Naturalizer Womens Riviera Sandals

These Naturalizer low-wedge sandals are one of my favorite designs for comfy wedge sandals because they are understated and chic in the black design which means they go with everything.

These have additional cushioning to help your feet feel really comfortable and a non-slip outsole.

The heels aren’t too high at 2 1/4 inches so they work as great day footwear that you would be happy to walk around in for long periods.

CUSHIONAIRE Women’s Melissa Espadrille Platform Wedge Sandal

If you haven’t heard of Cushionaire before definitely give them a look as they do some great dupes in particular Birkenstocks at half the price.

However these low-wedge sandals with a 2 inch heels are what I want to talk about today.

These aren’t real leather but they do have that typical summery look for wedges with the jute detailing on the bottom section of the sandals.

Cushionaire are renowned for their comfort levels which is why I have chosen these sandals as they have a padded footbed making these easy flat sandals to wear.

The adjustable ankle strap is an added bonus and will help you to get the best fit.

TOMS Women’s, Diana Sandal

I was well acquainted with Toms Shoes and have written extensively on their Alpargata footwear but the brand also does plenty of other footwear styles.

These wedge sandals are the perfect mix of style and comfort and are a great neutral shoe to wear.

I love the mix of canvas uppers with the jute heels and the funky soles in a two tone color. These look unusual but without being “out there”.

The reviews all say that these are great for comfort and fit so they are well work a buy if you are looking for neutral wedge sandals that look chic and sophisticated.

Crocs Unisex-Adult Mega Crush Sandal

Ok my next choice is controversial and I will admit not everyone’s cup of tea but did you know that Crocs sell wedge sandals?

So they might not be the typical wedge sandals that you are used to seeing but they are practical in a strange way because these are perfect to wear around the pool or beach.

These platform wedge sandals can be jazzed up if you want with Jibbitz or funky clothes so that you own the look.

Plus the brand is known for being comfortable so these will at least not hurt your feet.

Crocs tend to be like marmite as you either love them or hate them but there is a reason why so many people buy them so I have no doubt that these will sell like hot cakes this summer.

Kenneth Cole REACTION Women’s Card Wedge Sandal

I’ve added these Kenneth Cole wedges because they are sold at a great price point which makes them super affordable for most people.

They are however the highest heels of all my choices at 3 1/2 inches which may be a little too much for some people.

On the plus side they would work great with maxi dresses and are in a color that should match most outfits. Plus these do have a cushioned footbed which is really important for comfort.

Mysoft Women’s Platform Wedges

Finally if you are looking for low wedge sandals then these Mysoft versions are great as the heel is only 1.77 inches and the platform 1.54 meaning there is very little height at all.

I chose these because they have elastic straps which tend to be a little more comfortable plus will stretch and give with your feet as your move around.

These are another pair of comfy wedge shoes to wear in the day that are going to be a closet staple.
