St Patricks Day Inspired Shoes
I’ve split my search for the perfect St Patrick’s Day shoes into a few categories to make it easier to find what you want.
Some of my picks are clearly just for fun and something you probably wouldn’t want to be seen in for the rest of the year. However other designs are perfect for every day wear year round so you can get your moneys worth.
So are you going to choose a pair of sneakers, something more stylish or a pair of novelty slippers to walk around the house in? Let’s dive into my top picks so you can make your choice.
Green Shoes For St Patricks Day
Women’s Sequin Ballet Flats
I wear ballet flats all the time so I was drawn to these glitter green ones that are perfect for St Patricks Day.
These are wearable at any time of the year so they are going to be better on a cost per wear basis. Plus they will go with most outfits from jeans and leggings to dresses and short skirts.
As they are comfortable and easy on your feet they are great if you are planning on walk around all day wearing them. Plus they have lots of other different colors so there is plenty of choice.
Women’s Platform Wedge Sandals
Wedges are another relatively easy shoe to wear because they look high but the platform makes them more comfortable.
These are definitely a more dressy shoe but again suitable to wear with many different types of outfits. The suede makes them look luxe and more expensive than they actually are.
Once again you can wear these all year round which helps if you are looking for a shoe that is versatile.
Perphy Glitter Ankle Boot
If you want to jazz up your St Patricks Day outfit then these ankle boots would be perfect to wear on the day.
These have a side zip so they are easy to put on and a padded insole making it easy for you to wear them all night long.
Women’s Bow Mary Janes With Heels
These faux velvet green shoes definitely have a touch of the Irish about them with the cute front bow.
I like the fact that these don’t have a ridiculous heel height so it makes them easier to wear than tottering around all day in high heels.
These are dressy enough to be perfect for parties, weddings as well as for St Patricks Day celebrations.
Elizabeth Tang High Heels
If however high high heels are you thing then why not go a little higher and wear these satin stilettos.
These are definitely the kind of shoe that you are going to wear for a big celebration rather than for every day wear so think weddings, birthday parties or formal occasions where you need to look a little more polished.
Shamrock Shoes
If you weren’t aware Shamrock is a form of clover and it is one of the major Irish symbols that is placed on products associated with the country.
As a child I used to be given Irish satin badges with it on to wear to school on St Patricks Day to make the occasion and my relatives would send the real deal over to us in a box with wet cotton wool.
Now you can buy shamrock style shoes instead to mark the day.
Nike Men’s Dunk Low Sneakers
If you were thinking that all of the shoes that I would be showing you would be novelty or strange then think again.
These Nike men’s sneakers in green, white and gold (the color of the Irish flag) give a nod to the shamrock on the side of the heel
When you are into collecting or wearing unusual sneakers then these are the perfect pair to wear on the holiday.
Betsey Johnson Sydney Shoe
If you want a pair of sneakers that are stylish and have the shamrock theme then these Betsey Johnson glitter sneakers are it.
I love that the design isn’t overpowering but works perfectly for the day. These will be comfortable as well
St Patricks Day Slip on Canvas Sneakers
If you do less running and are more into skater style shoes then these St Patricks Day slip-on canvas shoes are probably going to be more your thing.
These have a canvas upper and rubber sole making them easy to wear especially when the weather still isn’t perfect in mid March.
Wear these with a pair of jeans whilst you are bar hopping celebrating the day and your feet should stay comfortable.
Shamrock and Cat Sneakers
Ok I had to add these novelty sneakers into the mix because who doesn’t love cats?
These are so over the top that they are perfect to wear if you want to be the talking point on the day.
They are also super practical. They are breathable and lightweight and they have a rubber sole for grip and comfort. Your feet are going to be cushioned in these making them really easy to walk and stand in whilst you are out and about.
Even though they could be used as running shoes I doubt many people will wear them for that reason however as the most outlandish St Patricks Day shoes ever they are brilliant.
St Patricks Day Sneakers
Green Converse Chuck Taylors
There a plenty of St Patricks Day sneakers around as well if you want to wear something that is comfortable all day.
Converse shoes are a big hot with most people so buying a pair of green Chuck Taylors would work well for the occasion.
These are the ordinary lace ups that go with everything so they can be worn throughout the year as well.
Beer and Leprechaun Hats Gym Sneakers
Whilst Chuck Taylors are classics you can of course go novelty and wear sneakers with a full St Patricks Day theme.
Not only are these green but they have leprechaun hats on them and beer glasses.
Yes you can run in them if you want but they are probably more useful for bar hopping on the day and keeping your feet comfortable.
Low Top Women’s Slip-on Fashion Sneakers
These slip on green Vans style sneakers are another classic design that works for this holiday or for just general every day wear.
I like the color of the green and white on these as they look great for spring when people are getting rid of their boots and heavy shoes for something more transitional.
Lucky Step Glitter Sneakers
If you want to put a little extra pizzazz in your step then these green glitter sneakers will do the job.
The green on these is relatively subtle so even if they have a little sparkle they aren’t too over the op.
Polero Lightweight Sneakers
The last of my sneakers are breathable, lightweight and comfortable and very much in the novelty category.
Yes you can wear them for walking or running if you want but I think these are a one day only type of shoe. Another great novelty wear but perhaps only for St Patricks Day itself.
St Patricks Day Slippers
If you didn’t know it staying in is the new going out so why not buy some slippers instead to wear indoors on the day.
These are warm and comfortable and they are machine washable as well which makes them really easy to take care of.
Even though they are novelty slippers they aren’t too garish and I actually like the gold shamrock design.
Guinness Slippers
Guinness is without a doubt the national drink of Ireland. Professional bartenders are experts in pouring the perfect pint in pubs with a little shamrock on the top.
Guinness use another Irish symbol on their products which is the harp and it sits front and centre on these shoes.
These are perfectly comfortable and cozy and can be worn all year round.
Women’s Shamrock Slides
If the weather is a little warmer where you are then slides are a popular choice to use both indoors and out.
These are easy to slip on and are water-resistant so you can wear them around the pool or on the beach.
St Patrick’s Day Flip Flops
Finally last but not least on my list of St Patricks Day shoes why not wear some shamrock flip flops.
Again these are more for warmer climates or houses but they are easy to slip on and off and are cheap enough that you can buy them to wear for the day and then forget about them.
