- Waterproofing: I also tend to use a waterproofing spray on my footwear to protect them. Even though you are wearing these in the summer you can still end up in the rain.
- Proper Storage: Make sure you store your shoes in a closet away from any heat or sunlight. The closet needs to be well ventilated to prevent mold growth and I place my shoes on racks so they aren’t on top of each other. For my more structured shoes I used cedar shoe trees to keep their shape.
- Rotation: Finally don’t wear the same shoes or sandals two days in a row to prevent sweat build up and moisture ruining them. Rotating your shoes will help them to last longer especially when you are wering them in the heat of the summer.
